ASH Renovations & the launch of our Supporters Page

While Zoe was away at camp this summer, we got an email inquiry from a woman named Beth whose brother Scott was a friend and classmate of mine in business school back in the late 90's. Scott is the president and founder of a multi-family renovations company called ASH Renovations, based in Birmingham, AL. It had probably been at least 20 years since Scott and I had last seen each other at some wedding or another. Beth explained that she was a Buyer for the company and they were always looking for fun things to send to their customers throughout the year. And then Beth added, "We also love to support small businesses, particularly those that have a cause. We came across your site and wanted to reach out to see how we could make this happen."

Beth and I connected and she told me about their idea of including a custom ASH Renovations Fidget Pen (complete with information about Zo Much More) in the "End of Summer" customer appreciation box they were planning to send out. That sounded like a great opportunity, but then Beth upped the ante. She asked if they could ship all the box materials and contents to us so that Zoe could assemble them when she got home from camp and then we could ship them out from here. I was pretty impressed with the amount of faith she was putting in Zoe without ever having met her and knowing that we had not done an assembly project that involved the shipping phase to date. I’m pretty sure this was the first time we got to combine our product (fidget pen) and our service (swag box assembly) into a large scale project - and take it through to the final step of shipping out all to 42 different recipients all around the country. I knew it was too good an opportunity for Zo Much More to pass up.

Turns out I was right! Over the next couple weeks, Beth and I had a great time working together on the logistics - with the bonus of me also getting to catch up with Scott - so that we were ready to go when Zoe got back home. I was so impressed with the professional respect ASH Renovations showed for Zoe and for Zo Much More. They clearly wanted to make it a positive and profitable experience for Zo Much More that would introduce us to a brand new audience and also help us to support our featured Charity Partner, Operation House Call. This project even gave us the chance to learn how to use Click & Ship - something that had been on the Zo Much More to-do list for awhile - so that we feel more prepared to take on future projects of this sort where we don’t have the luxury of delivering back to the client in person.

We no sooner wrapped up this project when Beth told me that not only would ASH like to work with Zo Much More again in the future but she asked for our logo to add to the part of their website where they talk about their philanthropic commitment to their community and beyond. We’re honored to be featured alongside other organizations whose missions are near and dear to the hearts of ASH Renovations team members.

And just like this project pushed us to check something off our to-do list, this gesture from ASH Renovations pushed us to check off another one. We’re excited to announce the launch of a Supporters page to the Zo Much More website. Hope you will take a look!
